DJ Shantel, Alphataurus, and the other side of Stunt Rock

So guys. DJ Shantel is one of my favorite artists. He takes balkan folk music (he's from romania) and sets it over awesome beats. It's really cool and i hope you listen and like it a lot. I'm sure you will!

Ok so also. Alphataurus is this italian progrock-ish band that unforntunately only made one album. I only had half of it until recently, and it totally made me excited when i found the rest. So the guy who sings, he has this crazy, amazing voice. Theyre sort of a wierd band though...to quote magma, "...they were one of the many unknown italian bands who suddenly had a recording deal, made an album and disappeared into oblivion." So this track is cool, and i hope you enjoy it.

So you will probably remember that last time, i gave you a dirty little ditty by Stunt Rock. Well, this next track is to show you that not all Stunt Rock is dirty and novelty. This song is one i've been listening to a lot lately, but it's probably because i'm a dumb teenager. but i still hope you enjoy the OTHER SIDE OF STUNT ROCK.

This first song is off this comp i just got called "Ambiances Du Sahara: Desert Blues." Its a great disc, and it has a lot of stuff that i have heard, and a lot i haven't. If you are into guys like Baaba Maal, Oumou Sangare, or Youssou N'Dour, you'll love it. This particular track is by Hamza El Din, a self-proclaimed "Nubian Master of the oud." He's one of the biggest names in modern African music. I hope you like the track:

So, i met this korean girl on soulseek, and she has LOADS of happy japanese and korean music. She's the one i heard about Capsule from, and a bunch of other bands i'm in love with now. She recently told me about this band, Stoned Soul Picnic, and said they would be the happiest thing i ever heard. I can't really find any information on them, because every time i search for them, it comes up with that album by Roy Ayers. But anyways, Stoned Soul Picnic is awesome. And i completely love it.

Some music to start off with?

Ok, so this should be a sampling of music i like. Since yousendit.com sucks an ass, there won't be as much here as i'd like, but whatever.

One band that I've been really getting into lately is Capsule. I honestly know nothing about them, because any and all information I find on them is completely in Japanese. I know they have about six albums, and that I have four of them. My favorite one is the most recent, called Nexus-2060. The cutest song on it is
Space Station Number 09!


Another awesome band is Charming Hostess. I could never find anything by them because I thought they were called Dali Tzerni, but they aren't. Won't You Keep Us Working? is an awesome song.

For some reason, I keep listening to the first track on Brutal Truth's Need To Control. It's called Collapse.

Uh, what else am I listening to.

I think I'll end every post with an awesome irish song. Today's will be Halali's Punch (In the Dark).
